Welcome to Rhodes

Arrival on the island by air, where you will meet your guide and transferred to your hotel in Rhodes. Enjoy a relaxing afternoon. We will have our welcome meeting to get all Info about Rhodes, the week and area in which we will be staying. Maps and brochures will be distributed as well. This will be a good chance for the group to know each other. Welcome drink & included dinner at a local tavern, overnight at our Hotel in Rhodes.

Walk through St. John Gate & Palace of the Grand Masters’

In the morning, we will meet after our open Buffet breakfast. Then, we will have a lovely short walk from our hotel, we will visit the Church of Rhodes, where we will have our service of the day. Then, enter the old town of Rhodes. Pass by the Holly Catholic Cathedral through the Archaeological Museum which was originally built as the Hospital for the Knights in 1489 by the Grand Master d’Aubusson and hosts many Metal, Marble and Mosaic collections of the Island dating back to prehistoric times. Our next stop is the Palace of the Grand Master of the Knights of Rhodes as well as the beautiful statue of Diagoras, Street of the Knights, Medieval old town. We will be having our Lunch; fresh fish mezes in a local restaurant. Lovely coastline walk will end by the hotel again. Excursion starts: 10:00 Return to the hotel: 15.30. Total walk will be around 14 km. And it is an easy walk in the old town of Rhodes. Included dinner in a local Tavern and overnight at our hotel in Rhodes.

St. Paul Bay to Temple of Athena & Lindos walk

After our open buffet Breakfast at the hotel, we will start our drive through the Eastern coast of Rhodes Island, through Lindos and St. Paul Bay. It is an interesting area of Rhodes endowed with Churches & Castles. Our first stop will be the Tsampika Monastery, which is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, and is a beautiful Church with a lovely museum. Then we will drive to the Famous St. Paul Bay, where St, Paul took his first step on the way to Kavala in 58 AD. We will start our walk from here through Lindos, It will be a great walk with breathtaking scenery of the Blue Mediterranean, the Mountains as well as the Athena Statue on the top. We will visit the Lindos Village, the Acropolis and the Ancient Theatre of Lindos. According to Tradition, St. Paul himself preached the new religion at Lindos in 58 AD and converted many of the inhabitants. Light lunch at the old village and some time for shopping after which, we will return to the bus to return to our hotel. The day starts: 09:00 Return to the hotel: 16:30. Total walk will be 14.5 km and it’s a moderate walk. Dinner at a local tavern and overnight at our Hotel in Rhodes.

Ancient Steps of Rhodes ‘Acropolis and Temple of Apollo’ Walk

After our open buffet Breakfast at the hotel we will start our walk from the hotel, following the path uphill to the Acropolis of Rhodes, which are located on Monte Smith Hill. The climb will be around 3 km. And along the road you will enjoy the panoramic views of the city and the Blue Aegean Sea. We will have our elevensees and then visit the Temple of Apollo, Magnificent Hellenistic Olympic Stadium and the Ancient Theatre. Picnic lunch at the historical site, then a nice and delightful downhill walk will take us through the old and characteristic houses of Rhodes city as well as local shops and eateries. We will finish our day with a drink at a cafe, before arriving to our hotel. The day starts at 09:00 Return to the hotel: 16:00. Total walk will be 13.5 km and it’s a moderate walk. Dinner at a local tavern and overnight at our Hotel in Rhodes.

Have a relax day or Join the Lovely Boat Trip from Mandraki Harbour

Today, after breakfast you may have a free time to relax by the beach of the hotel, short walk through the forest or Join us at the lovely Boat trip. This unforgettable boat trip begins from Mandraki harbour, very near to our hotel, and takes you on a scenic journey through the breathtaking coastline of Rhodes. The highlight of the adventure is a swim in the stunning Blue Aegean Sea, known for its crystal-clear turquoise waters. This Optional trip will be very relaxing and enjoyable. Tonight, our dinner will be in a local tavern with local mezes and dishes, overnight at our hotel in Rhodes. (Optional Tour - 20 Euro PP)

Ancient City of Kamiros and Mountain walk

After breakfast, we will drive through the Western part of Rhodes Island through the great ancient city of Kamiros. Which is dated back to the 8th. century BCE, covers Archaic, Classical and the Hellenistic periods of Rhodes Island. It is one of the most significant archaeological sites on the Island of Rhodes. The Walk around this site and seeing all the buildings excavated, will transfer you emotionally back in the history. Elevensees and a little rest will be followed by a nice forest walk through Picturesque landscapes with a mix of coastal views, rolling hills and lush greenery. Total walk will be 14 km. And It will be a moderate walk. Tonight, our dinner will be in a local tavern with local mezes and dishes, overnight at our hotel in Rhodes.

Butterflies Valley & Exploring Nature walk & the Monastery of Kalopetra

After breakfast, we will drive through the famous Butterflies Valley of Rhodes (According to the season, we may be able to see many Butterflies as well). Begin our walk at the Butterflies’ Valley entrance, which is located near the Village of Theologos. Admire the lush surroundings, with streams, wooden bridges and shaded paths lined with fragrant oriental sweetgum trees. Elevensees and picnic lunch will be at this beautiful area, with excellent walk, at the end of the Valley we will visit the Monastery of Kalopetra, which is build in 1782. Then, we will have some time for shopping in the city, before we arrive at our hotel. Tonight, the GALA Dinner, at a local Tavern with drinks included, overnight at Hotel in Rhodes.
